Netflix skyrockets on subscriber gains

Netflix reported first-quarter profit of $0.19, beating the $0.18 average analyst forecast. But the real news was the strong growth in subscribers to more than 29 million from 23.4 million a year earlier. The international streaming business was especially strong and its first original series, "House of Cards" also drove business. NFLX rockets 23 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.
ARM Gains on Strong Results
ARM Holdings earned 5.3 pence a share in the first quarter on revenue of 170.3 million pounds. Analysts had only expected 4.4 pence and 158.8 million pounds, respectively. ARMH gains almost 10 percent in the premarket.
Coach Beats on Top, Bottom Lines
Coach earned $0.84, beating the $0.81 consensus estimate. Total sales of $1.19 billion also topped the $1.18 billion expected by analysts. COH gains 14 percent in early trading.
