XLF: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
Today's economic calendar will include mortgage data, employment numbers, oil inventories, and more Fed appearances.

MBA mortgage-purchase applications begin the day at 7 a.m. ET. There are no forecasts for this report, which came in at -3.8 percent last month.

Federal Reserve Governor Daniel Tarullo will speak to the Council on Foreign Relations at 8 a.m.  ET.

The ADP employment report for April will be released at 8:15 a.m. ET. The consensus forecasts calls for the creation of 183,000 jobs, down from 209,000 in March. Estimates range from 140,000 to 216,000.

The Treasury's Refunding Announcement will come out at 9 a.m. ET. Also at that hour will be the announcement of 3, 10, and 30-year bonds.

Factory orders for March are scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Analysts on average expect a decline to -1.6 percent from the previous reading of 1.3 percent. Estimates range from -2.5 percent to 0.5 percent.

Weekly EIA petroleum figures are set to be released at 10:30 a.m. ET. Last week's report came in at 3.98 million barrels.

Closing out the day the will be a speech by Richmond Federal Reserve President Jeffery Lacker at 12:30 p.m. ET.
