Movies, Theme Parks Strong
Walt Disney earned $0.79 a share on revenue of $11.34 billion. Analysts only expected $0.76 and $11.21 billion respectively. The guidance was also strong. DIS is up 3 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.
Shutterfly Crushes Estimates
Shutterfly crushed estimates as its commercial-printing business gained traction. Earnings totaled $1.40, well ahead of the $1.01 consensus estimate. Revenue of $351.78 million blew past the $309.73 million forecast. Guidance was strong as well, and SFLY is ripping 16 percent in early trading.
Cost Pressures Squeeze C.H. Robinson
C.H. Robinson Worldwide reported fourth-quarter profit of $0.68 a share, missing the $0.70 average analyst estimate. Revenue beat, but investors are focusing on that profit miss, which resulted from a big increase in operating costs and general expenses. CHRW falls 6 percent in the premarket.
