The consumer credit report for July is the only major economic release on today's calendar.
The consensus forecast for the 3 p.m. ET report calls for a reading of $9.8 billion, up from June's $6.5 billion but down from May's surge of $16.7 billion. Estimates range from $5 billion to $14.9 billion.
The only other scheduled events today are two Treasury bill auctions, for three- and six-month notes, at 11:30 a.m. ET.
