Earnings, Revenue Beat Consensus

Take-Two Interactive Software earned $0.38 a share in its fourth quarter, better than the $0.23 expected by analysts. Revenue of $303 million also exceeded the $280.4 million consensus forecast. TTWO climbs 7 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Dan Loeb Shakes the Tree at Sony

Sony has almost doubled lighting up Heat Seeker in December, and now hedge fund manager Daniel Loeb is pushing the stock even higher with talk of spinning off part of its entertainment division. That includes major Hollywood movie studios and record labels. SNE rallies 7 percent on the news.

Nanosphere Surges on Hitachi Deal

Nanosphere, a developer of molecular diagnostics systems, signed an agreement with Hitachi High-Technologies to market the company's products in Japan. NSPH rips higher by 15 percent in premarket trading.
