Big Miss for BlackBerry Maker

Research in Motion reported a quarterly loss of $0.13 a share on revenue of $3.1 billion. Analysts had expected profit of $0.06 and $3.36 billion, respectively. BBRY plunges 22 percent before the opening bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Accenture Drops on Weak Guidance

Accenture's earnings beat by a penny, but revenue of $7.2 billion lagged the $7.42 billion consensus estimate. Guidance for the current quarter was also weaker than expected. ACN declines 8 percent in the premarket.

AMSC Gains on Legal News

AMSC is getting a boost after the United States Justice Department indicted a Chinese competitor of stealing wind-turbine technology. The move confirms earlier statements by the company, which claims to have been cheated out of $800 million as a result. AMSC is up 11 percent in early trading.
