Earnings, Revenue Both Miss

Ruby Tuesday reported a first-quarter loss of $0.36 a share, much wider than the $0.05 loss expected by analysts. Revenue of $289.7 million also lagged the $298.3 million consensus estimate. RT plunges 14 percent before the opening bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

IGate Higher on Strong Results

Software maker IGate earned $0.46 a share on revenue of $293.41 million. Analysts had only forecast $0.43 and $289.4 million, respectively. IGTE climbs 7 percent in early trading.

Citrix Says Third-Quarter Will Disappoint

Citrix Software pre-announced third-quarter results, and they weren't pretty! Earnings were just $0.68 to $0.69 a share, below guidance of $0.72 to $0.73. Revenue was $710 million to $712 million, also below the previous $730-740 million range. CTXS falls 13 percent in the pre-market.

The only problem is that in today's market where things move much more quicker than they did just a few years ago, two days could wind up being the majority of the expected movement, if not the whole movement.
