Earnings, Revenue Beat The Street

Akamai Technology earned $0.51 a share on revenue of $386 million. That was better than the consensus estimates for $0.46 on the bottom line and $357.6 million on the top line. AKAM surges 18 percent before the bell on my tradeMONSTER platform.

Intuit Drops on TurboTax Weakness

Intuit said revenue will be no more than $2.175 billion in the third quarter ending this month, below its previous guidance of $2.215 billion to $2.275 billion. Earnings of $2.92 to $2.94 a share will also lag the earlier estimate of $2.99 to $3.04. Management cited weak sales of TurboTax. That has INTU down 12 percent in the pre-market.

Infinera Rallies on Quarterly Results

Infinera reported first-quarter revenue of $125 million, while analysts had only projected $119.6 million. The company's per-share net loss was also $0.06, narrower than the $0.07 expected loss. INFN rallies 19 percent in early trading.
