Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Elan (ELN): More than 14,000 October 15 calls were bought, mostly for $0.30, after the Irish drug maker announced it was putting itself up for sale. ELN rose 7.77 percent to $13.59.

T-Mobile US (TMUS): Almost 11,000 August 24 calls were bought, mostly for $1.05, as investors look the wireless-communications stock to keep running. TMUS rose 3.11 percent to $22.52.

Bank of America (BAC): Some 14,600 weekly puts expiring today were bought for $0.02 against open interest, indicating that existing short positions were closed. BAC fell 0.64 percent to $13.13.
