Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Market Vectors Junior Gold Miners Fund (GDXJ): A trader sold 7,858 January 19.63 calls for $0.60 and bought 7,858 February 19 calls for $1.30, obtaining an additional month to profit from upside in the fund. GDXJ rose 0.31 percent to $19.34. (See related story)

Facebook (FB): Some 11,000 January 24 puts were bought for $0.40 as investors brace for downside in the social-networking stock. FB declined 0.99 percent to $26.25.

Bank of America (BAC): Almost 33,000 January 12.50 calls traded, mostly for $0.09 to $0.12, but volume was far below open interest at the strike. BAC fell 2.08 percent to $11.30.

As I stated in last week's article, a break out or a break down needs to have a couple things happen before it is considered a confirmed break out or break down. The only problem is that in today's market where things move much more quicker than they did just a few years ago, two days could wind up being the majority of the expected movement, if not the whole movement.
