Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Groupon (GRPN): Blocks of 30,000 contracts each traded in the April 4 calls and the January 2014 5 calls, but volume was below open interest in both. GRPN fell 6.27 percent to $3.74.

Bank of America (BAC): Activity surged in the January 10 calls as investors look for the financial giant to keep climbing in to early 2013. BAC fell 5.53 percent to $9.39.

Verizon Communications (VZ): A block of 10,000 April 40 puts were bought for $1.18 as traders brace against a downside in the share price. VZ fell 1.78 percent to $43.51.

As I stated in last week's article, a break out or a break down needs to have a couple things happen before it is considered a confirmed break out or break down. The only problem is that in today's market where things move much more quicker than they did just a few years ago, two days could wind up being the majority of the expected movement, if not the whole movement.
