Nearing the halfway mark in today's session, here are the individual equity names with the most call and put buying on optionMONSTER's ActionTracker data system.

Ivanhoe Mines (IVN): More than 21,000 March 20 calls were bought for $0.20 to $0.45 as investors look for upside in the stock. IVN rose 2.02 percent to $17.70.

Alcoa (AA): More than 20,000 March 11 calls have been bought for $0.12 to $0.14 as investors positioned for higher prices. AA rose 0.76 percent to $10.54.

Microsoft (MSFT): Some 44,000 March 27 puts were bought for $0.04 as investors look for a pullback in the share price or for higher volatility in the near term. MSFT was unchanged at $31.37.

Live Nation Entertainment (LYV): More than 20,000 April 7.50 puts traded for $0.20 against open interest of just 942 contracts. LYV fell 5.52 percent to $9.92.

As I stated in last week's article, a break out or a break down needs to have a couple things happen before it is considered a confirmed break out or break down. The only problem is that in today's market where things move much more quicker than they did just a few years ago, two days could wind up being the majority of the expected movement, if not the whole movement.
