GLD: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
Total options volume has picked up this morning to 5.1 million contracts, with commodity funds drawing some unusual activity.

The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (SPY) has 765,000 contracts traded, with 480,000 puts. The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) has 212,000, with 123,000 puts.

Next up are the S&P 500 Index (SPX) options with 168,000, 96,000 of which are puts. Just behind are the SPDR Gold Shares Fund (GLD) options with 166,000, with 121,000 calls. Following are the iShares Silver Trust (SLV) contracts with 134,000, with calls outpacing puts almost 3 to 1.

The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) has 109,000 options traded, with 58,000 calls. The iShares Emerging Markets Fund (EEM) has 86,000, with 46,000 puts.
