SPY: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
Trading seems to be on pause today with only 3.6 million options changing hands so far and light action in the indexes and ETFs, optionMONSTER's data systems show.

The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (SPY) has 525,000 contracts traded, with 352,000 puts. Next up are the S&P 500 Index (SPX) options at 182,000, of which 105,000 are puts. The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) has 132,000 contracts changing hands and a put/call ratio of 2 to 1.
 
The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) barely tops 100,000, with 62,000 puts. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) has 75,000 options moving, with calls slightly outpacing puts. The iShares MSCI EAFE Index Fund (EFA) has 48,000 contracts turning over, with a put/call ratio of 3 to 1.
