SPY: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
Total option volume is relatively light going into the long weekend today with 4.2 million contracts traded and mixed action in the indexes and ETFs, according to optionMONSTER's data systems.

The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (SPY) has only 644,000 options changing hands, with 370,000 puts. The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) is next up with 256,000, led by 198,000 puts.

The S&P 500 Index (SPX) options have turned over 181,000 times, with a put/call ratio of just under 2 to 1. The iShares Emerging markets Fund (EEM) has 153,000 options, and fewer than 12,000 are calls. The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) has 130,000 contracts, evenly split between calls and puts.

The SPDR Financial Fund (XLF) sees 112,000 contracts changing hands, and the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) has 88,000 options traded, with 78,000 calls.
