SPY: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
More than 7.6 million options have already traded today as hedging still seems to lead the way in the indexes and ETFs, according to optionMONSTER's data systems.

The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (SPY) has seen 1.3 million options change hands, while the S&P 500 Index (SPX) options are next up with 510,000. Both have a put/call ratio of 2 to 1.

The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) has 293,000 options trading, with 171,000 puts. Just behind are the iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) options at 279,000, 200,000 of which are puts.

The SPDR Gold Shares Fund (GLD) has 207,000 contracts turning over, with 143,000 calls. The SDPR Financial Fund (XLF) options are just shy of the 200,000 mark, with puts outpacing calls by 4 to 1. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) options have traded 140,000 times, dominated by 112,000 calls.

The iShares Emerging Markets Fund (EEM) has seen 116,000 contracts turn over, also with a put/call of better than 4 to 1. The iShares Silver Fund (SLV) has 104,000 options trading, with 61,000 calls.
