SPY: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
Total option activity is relatively light again today with just 4.8 million contracts traded and only a couple of index and ETF volumes breaking the 100,000 mark, according to optionMONSTER's data systems.

The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (SPY) options have traded 672,000 times, with 430,000 puts. The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) has 154,000 contracts change hands, and close behind are the S&P 500 Index (SPX) options at 140,000. Both are just short of a 2-to-1 put/call ratio.

The iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) has 105,000 contracts changing hands and does just break that put/call ratio. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) has seen 92,000 options trade, dominated by 80,000 calls.

The iShares Silver Fund (SLV) contracts total 80,000, and the SPDR Gold Shares Fund (GLD) has 75,000. Both have slightly more calls than puts.

The iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX) options have trade 61,000 times, with 40,000 puts.
