SPY: SEE CHART GET CHAIN FIND STRATEGIES
The turnaround in the equity markets this morning was quick, and options have been active on the moves, according to tradeMONSTER's LiveAction data system.

The SPDR S&P 500 Index (SPY) continues to fall as 1.5 million contracts have traded. The S&P 500 Index (SPX) has seen contracts trade 235,000 times. The CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) is third on the total option volume list with 241,000 contracts.

Barclays iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Fund (VXX) is back in the top 10 with 97,000.
The iShares Russell 2000 Index Fund (IWM) is second on the list with 461,000 options traded. The PowerShares QQQ Trust (QQQ) is fifth with 222,000.

Apple (AAPL) is once again the top individual equity with 169,000 options as it gained more than 1 percent. Bank of America (BAC) was next up with 123,000. Ford (F) is also higher by 1 percent as 85,000 contracts changing hands.

The SPDR Gold Shares Fund (GLD) is fractionally higher as well as 92,000 options traded.
