Consumers at center of today's data

There are just two reports for today, and are focused squarely on the consumer. As a result, the Consumer Discretionary SPDR (XLY) may be active based on the data.

XLY ChartPersonal Income and Outlays will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. There are several components to the report, but the two that get headline attention are personal income and consumer spending.
