This shows what some smart trader(s) did this morning in the VIX. As you can see, they either rolled down their out-the-money calls, or did a straight call spread, buying the 22 calls in Jun and selling the 28 calls AND bought the 22 calls in June and sold the 32.50 calls in June.
Both 1:1 call vertical spreads and both more than doubled today making the owner about $4.4 million in less than 5 hours!
