How do I enable cookies?

A cookie is a small amount of data (often including a unique identifier), that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. optionMONSTER.com uses cookies to identify you as a registered user, personalize your experience at our site, and display relevant content, products, services and advertising. Firefox:
  1. Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
  2. Select Options
  3. Click the Privacy tab
  4. Check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox
  5. Click OK

Internet Explorer:
  1. Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
  2. Select Internet Options
  3. Click the Privacy tab
  4. Click the Advanced button
  5. Select the option Override automatic cookie handling under the 'Cookies' section in the 'Advanced Privacy Settings' window.
  6. Select the Accept or Prompt option under 'First-party Cookies'
  7. Select the Accept or Prompt option under 'Third-party Cookies' (Note: if you select the 'Prompt' option, you'll be prompted to click OK every time a website attempts to send you a cookie.)
  8. In the 'Internet Options' window, click OK to exit

Chrome (Windows/Linux):
  1. Click the Tools menu
  2. Select Options
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab
  4. Click Content settings in the 'Privacy' section
  5. Make sure Allow local data to be set is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. For any given webpage, first-party cookies are cookies that are set by the site domain listed in the address bar. Third-party cookies come from other domain sources that have items, such as ads or images, embedded on the page. If you only want to accept first-party cookies, check the box next to Block all third-party cookies without exception

Chrome (Mac):
  1. Select Chrome > Preferences on the menu bar
  2. Click the Under the Hood tab
  3. Click Content settings in the 'Privacy' section

  2. Select Preferences
  3. Click Security
  4. Under 'Accept Cookies' select Only from sites you navigate to
  5. Click OK


How do I clear my browser cache (temporary Internet files)?

Firefox:
  1. Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
  2. Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
  3. Select Options
  4. Click the Privacy tab
  5. Click Clear next to 'Cache'
  6. Click OK

Internet Explorer:
  1. Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
  2. Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
  3. Select Internet Options
  4. Click the General tab
  5. Click Delete Files under 'Temporary Internet files'
  6. Check the Delete all offline content checkbox
  7. Click OK

Chrome (Windows/Linux):
  1. At the top right of your browser, click the Tools button (wrench icon)
  2. Click on Options
  3. Click the Personal Stuff tab
  4. Under 'Browsing data,' click Clear browsing data
  5. Check Empty the cache option
  6. Select a deletion timespan under Clear data from this period
  7. Click Clear Browsing Data

Chrome (Mac):
  1. From the menu bar, select Chrome > Clear Browsing Data
  2. Select a deletion timespan under Clear data from this period
  3. Click Clear Browsing Data

Safari:
  1. Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
  2. Open the Safari menu item on your browser's toolbar
  3. Select Empty Cache
  4. Click Empty in the dialogue box

In some cases, it may be necessary to clear your cache more than once.
