How do I enable cookies?
A cookie is a small amount of data (often including a unique identifier), that is sent to your browser from a web site's computers and stored on your computer's hard drive. optionMONSTER.com uses cookies to identify you as a registered user, personalize your experience at our site, and display relevant content, products, services and advertising. - Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
- Select Options
- Click the Privacy tab
- Check the Accept cookies from sites checkbox
- Click OK
Internet Explorer:
- Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
- Select Internet Options
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click the Advanced button
- Select the option Override automatic cookie handling under the 'Cookies' section in the 'Advanced Privacy Settings' window.
- Select the Accept or Prompt option under 'First-party Cookies'
- Select the Accept or Prompt option under 'Third-party Cookies' (Note: if you select the 'Prompt' option, you'll be prompted to click OK every time a website attempts to send you a cookie.)
- In the 'Internet Options' window, click OK to exit
Chrome (Windows/Linux):
- Click the Tools menu
- Select Options
- Click the Under the Hood tab
- Click Content settings in the 'Privacy' section
- Make sure Allow local data to be set is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. For any given webpage, first-party cookies are cookies that are set by the site domain listed in the address bar. Third-party cookies come from other domain sources that have items, such as ads or images, embedded on the page. If you only want to accept first-party cookies, check the box next to Block all third-party cookies without exception
Chrome (Mac):
- Select Chrome > Preferences on the menu bar
- Click the Under the Hood tab
- Click Content settings in the 'Privacy' section
- Make sure Allow local data to be set is selected to allow both first-party and third-party cookies. - Select Preferences
- Click Security
- Under 'Accept Cookies' select Only from sites you navigate to
- Click OK
How do I clear my browser cache (temporary Internet files)?
Firefox:- Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
- Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
- Select Options
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click Clear next to 'Cache'
- Click OK
Internet Explorer:
- Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
- Click the Tools menu item at the top of your browser
- Select Internet Options
- Click the General tab
- Click Delete Files under 'Temporary Internet files'
- Check the Delete all offline content checkbox
- Click OK
Chrome (Windows/Linux):
- At the top right of your browser, click the Tools button (wrench icon)
- Click on Options
- Click the Personal Stuff tab
- Under 'Browsing data,' click Clear browsing data
- Check Empty the cache option
- Select a deletion timespan under Clear data from this period
- Click Clear Browsing Data
Chrome (Mac):
- From the menu bar, select Chrome > Clear Browsing Data
- Select a deletion timespan under Clear data from this period
- Click Clear Browsing Data
Safari:
- Log out of your optionMONSTER® account and close all other open browser windows
- Open the Safari menu item on your browser's toolbar
- Select Empty Cache
- Click Empty in the dialogue box
In some cases, it may be necessary to clear your cache more than once.
